Hey y'all!
Of course, apologies are in order... I have been gone for five straight days!
The first of the five days, the day before Thanksgiving, was spent prepping for the holiday and spending time with family.
It was the next day that I got sick.
I felt fine when I woke up on Thanksgiving morning, but as the day went on, I felt worse and worse. By the time dinner was ready and family and friends started coming over, I was feeling horrible. I spent most of the evening in bed.
The body aches, fever, sore throat, and chills came out of nowhere and stayed with me for three straight days! I got the flu, y'all!!
Sunday was the first day that I felt remotely better, but I still wasn't 100%. I still had a sore throat, headache, and crazy congestion. So bad, I couldn't breathe!
I stayed home from church on Sunday, continued to medicate myself, drank lots of fluids, and I slept.
Today I am feeling much better! I still have a slight cough and an occasional runny nose, but nothing as bad as it was last week.
I got back to work today and even got some much needed exercise in.
Since I missed five days, I'm going to submit two posts to the blog per day for the next five days. One for the day that I missed, and the regularly scheduled post for that day.
This post will count as the first submission for today. I will be sharing the second post for today, shortly.
I hope you enjoy the double dosings that are coming over the next several days. I'm working hard to make up for the days that I missed.
