Church folk are hurting one another.

We're taking religion and calling it relationship. But we don't love and support one another like we should.

We're placing unrealistic expectations on one another and judging each other according to our own convictions.

Many of us, when we reach a certain level of understanding, begin to treat other believers as less than. Like we are better than them because we understand something they don't.

We all started as babes in the faith. We all have to take a spiritual journey. And some of us are still in our journeys, still enduring our process.

As believers, we are supposed to love, encourage, and support one another. We are supposed to pray for one another's growth and understanding. Not throw shade on one another because someone is not where we think they should be.

The church is the reason people fall away. Instead of supporting each other through our growth, we judge one another for where and how we are. We look and talk down on each other as if we never had to endure the same trials or learn the same lessons.

We all have to go through the process of faith. And the arrogance some of us show because we think we've "arrived" isn't helping anyone. Actually, it's causing more damage than good.

We need to humble ourselves and be who God called us to be in His word. And God's word does not tell us to look down on one another or judge each other because of our spiritual status.

In fact, the bible tells those who are spiritual to act in meekness and humility. It says that "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6).

We look at these arrogant people as if their hubris gives them power. Actually, it makes them look like bullies. And they'll have to answer for it when they stand before God.
